2008 is coming to a close

Well I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already! Time has been going so fast lately. And now that Christmas is over that means there is a wedding to planned, a baby shower to be planned, and of course graduation is right around the corner! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did, it was great to just spend the day with family and friends it was very relaxing. And it's always great to celebrate the gift God gave us by sending his only Son.

New Years is this week which is always exciting. 2009 is going to be a great year and I really can't wait!

This year felt like it went by so fast though. 2008 was a good year it defentily had its struggles though but it was also filled with a lot of great times. I think 2009 is not going to be as drama filled and I just think its going to be a big year but a great one :)

Break Time!

Christmas break could not of come at a better time! And actually I didn't go to school today so I got an early start on my break. Today I went out to lunch with Lindsay which is always a good time, somethings were finally confirmed even though I knew they would happen it's offical now. But instead of it being upseting it was actually freeing and I just feel such a peace about everything. I know I deserve a lot more out of life than what I have been settling for, and I've decided I'm not settling anymore and I'm leaving it all in God's hands. Because lets face it God's plans are always so much better than ours - even if we may not understand his ways - knowing he is in control is such a relief!

I'm really looking forward to this break I think it's going to be a lot of fun! I'm really excited for Christmas this year I just love when the whole family's together and since we are new family this year it's going to be great! I'm hoping there will be some sled riding somewhere over break too. And I am so looking forward to this New Year and new beginnings! Tomorrow is my church's banquet and it is always so much fun so I am very excited for that and plus my family is coming with me which is always nice.

I keep thinking how different this Christmas is but next year's Christmas will be even crazier! I will be graduated, Jacqui will be married, and my little niece or nephew will be running around. Change is defently upon us but change is can be a very good thing and in all of these cases it is a very good thing :)

But in all of the Christmas craziness we need to take time out and remeber the reason for the season, is that God gave the gift of sending his only Son to save the world from it's sin and to fulfill the prophecies of the Messiah. So lets not forget to say Happy Birthday Jesus when December 25 rolls around! :)

Weekend Update

Well first off lets start with Friday: I happened to get all of my Christmas shopping done except for one person! Hooray for that! Me and my sister went shopping at 6 and got home around 10. Belden was pretty much crazy - as to be expected. But hanging out with the sis is always a good time, esp since pretty soon when we hang out there will be a baby envolved lol which is very exciting but its still nice to have that one on one time!

Saturday: I toke the ACT - eek! It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, the science part stunk and so did getting up early. But i guess I just get so frustrated at myself for not knowing still what I really want to go to school for, counseling seems like the pratical choice and what more than like I will go for, but I can see myself doing so many things - and I keep trying to find out what God wants me to do which is the most diffucult part! I know as long as I keep seeking that he'll answer me, but I'm getting down to the wire here! lol b/c I really don't want to take a year off. But more on that another day.

Sunday: Was my MOM'S BIRTHDAY! Church was really good, Lindsay preached and she always does such a good job! We had a productive meeting and I stopped by the fire station to deliever some chocolate goodies to some family friends. Then it was off to moms dinner - steak, yummy! lol, we were a little late to dinner though because Gordon had to go on a chimmney fire call in suffield, but that's the life of a fireman you go when that radio goes off. We bought my Mom a mother's ring that she loved so I'm happy about that!

So overall it was pretty good weekend, now just 4 more days until Christmas break, time is really flying by!

Time Flys

Well, this week has been kind of crazy. I can't believe there is only 2 more weeks untile Christmas!! Time is just flying by. I was thinking the other day that, after christmas break school is going to just go by so fast. Which is so exciting on one hand but on the other is very scary. I mean I look at myself and think am I really old enough to graduate? ha I feel ready to graduate though, I'm really excited to see what God has in store for the rest of my life. Even though I'm really not that sure what is going to happen with my life, I know it is all going to work out just the way its suppose to!

But I am not going to wish my senior year away, I am for sure enjoying this holiday season and just enjoying life.

God's really been showing me how to just relax and enjoy life and have faith that everything is going to be just fine. Because life changes every day and it seems to just get crazier, but God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Looking forward!

Thanksgiving was already a week ago, and I can not believe it went by so fast! It is always nice to get together with family and eat lol. Break was so nice and so needed! Life has really been going good lately and I can only see it getting better from here. Sure somethings have happened that haven't been perfect and have been kinda sucky but there is always a bright side. I have a lot of things to look forward to in the next year, and that is what God is really showing me, is that so many times we focus all of our energy on the bad things or the things we can't change and there is really no point in that.
So the things I have to look forward to are:
-Kyle will be home for a couple weeks, and its always nice to see a familiar face :]
-My Mom's birthday is in 2 weeks & It is always nice to celebrate her since she does so much for us
-Christmas is of course coming up which is always exciting!
- There are many babies coming into the world between feburary and april [Lindsay(March), Lydia(April), My Sister(April 11)!!, and lots more]
- I am so excited to become an aunt I can't wait to hold that little one for the first time :]
-My other sister is getting married in May (30)
-I am graduating June 6, 2009

So I encourage you to take some time out of your day today, and think of the positive things in your life that you have to look forward to!

Monday

Today is for sure a monday!
This weekend tho was one of the best weekend I've had in a long time. Friday a small group of us got together at Erikas and had a little game night, which was just relaxed and fun! It was nice to just be able to hang out and have some fun. Then saturday my sisters toke me to see Legally Blonde the musical up at playhous square! It was wonderful, and so was our dinner at the cheesecake factory. Yesterday was an interesting day, chuch was pretty amazing, but later we had to go have dinner at my 'fathers' parents house, and the family I haven't seen in pretty much 5 or plus years, were all there, it was kind of awkward, I mean how do you really act around them? they're not really my family....

But in happier news, Thanksgiving it this week and I know it will be a blast with the fam!!

God is good - all the time!
